Our village, Algund (Lagundo)

Algund is situated in a unique geographical location on the northern edge of the Merano basin and the southern slopes of the Texel Group nature park. The sun therefore shines on the village of Algund the whole day. The region covers an area with altitudes ranging from 300 to 900 metres and 160 km of hiking trails - hiking is possible at any time of year and at various altitudes. Venice, Lake Garda, Milan and Verona can all be easily reached for a daytrip. Lively history wherever you look - Maria Steinach monastery, the parish church, bridgeheads, mountains and castles can all be found in the area.
